Close in the patio. Keep it all year.
Motorized retractable screens that drop at the push of a button and close your patio off from wind, blowing dirt, bugs, and cold. When you don't need them, they roll up out of sight.

Why MagnaTrack
- Rated up to 156+ mph with the Defender Hurricane Series. Standard screens are rated to 75 mph.
- Patented magnetic side tracks flex and self-correct instead of jamming or tearing.
- Four-season use. Lowered screens close the space in so a heater or the home's system can keep it comfortable.
- Private from outside, open from inside. You keep your view.
- Motorized so it's one button, not a crank.

Built to give a little, so it doesn't break
Fixed tracks and zipper systems hold the screen rigid, and that's what jams and tears them. MagnaTrack's patented self-tensioning track uses opposing rare earth neodymium magnets. Both magnets are captured inside the track. When wind pushes on the screen, the sliding insert moves in, the magnets separate, and the fabric flexes without ever leaving the track. When the gust passes, the magnetic pull snaps the insert back and re-tensions the screen.
of common operational issues eliminated by MagnaTrack's self-tensioning design.
No jams, no snags, no hang-ups, no re-wraps. A Keder interlock keeps the screen edge running smooth in the track.
The magnetic track is patented (U.S. Patent 11,421,474) and exclusive to MagnaTrack.
How the screen stays tight matters more than the screen
Every retractable screen has to hold its edges in a side track. There are three common ways to do it. Springs are great. On a trampoline.
| Feature | MagnetsMagnaTrack | SpringsSpring-loaded tracks | ZippersZipper tracks |
|---|---|---|---|
| What holds the tension | Opposing neodymium magnets pull the screen edge into the track | Mechanical springs push the track insert against the screen | Zipper teeth on the screen edge lock into a fixed track |
| When a hard gust hits | The insert slides and the magnets separate. The fabric flexes but stays locked in the track, then the magnets pull it back | Springs compress and rebound | Held rigid, so the force goes into the fabric and teeth |
| Parts that wear | No springs to stretch or fatigue. Magnets hold their pull for years | Springs flex on every cycle and every gust, and metal springs lose tension over time | Teeth wear and can pull out of the track |
| West Texas dust | Fewer moving parts for grit to work into | More moving parts for grit to work into | Grit in the track adds drag on the teeth |
| The usual service call | MagnaTrack's design eliminates 98% of common operational issues | Adjusting or replacing tired springs | Re-zipping a screen that popped out, jams, and re-wraps |
A patio you use twelve months a year
Most patios out here get a few good weeks in spring and fall. Screens change that math.
Spring
Wind season. Drop the screens and keep the dust, dirt, and blowing debris off your furniture.
Summer
Solar screen fabric cuts heat, glare, and UV while you keep the view. Bugs stay on the other side.
Fall
The best weather of the year, minus the mosquitoes and the first cold fronts. Screens handle both.
Winter
Screens close the space in and cut the wind. Add a patio heater, or pair screen and vinyl window inserts, and the space holds its warmth.
Screens for every season and every opening
- Solar screens block heat, glare, and UV while you keep your view out.
- Insect screens use a more transparent mesh for maximum view and airflow with the bugs kept out.
- Screen and vinyl window inserts close the space in for the cold months.
- Defender Hurricane screens for the openings that take the worst wind your property sees.

Rated for Category 5. Not a typo.
The Defender Hurricane Series is MagnaTrack's heaviest-duty screen, rated for Category 5 storms with winds of 156 mph and up. It's built from Kevlar-like woven fibers and impact tested to ASTM E1886 and E1996 at Missile Level D.
From the outside, a Defender screen looks just like our standard screens. Same clean lines, same view. The difference is what it's built to take.
We don't get hurricanes in Amarillo. We do get straight-line winds that don't care. If your patio faces open ground, this is the one to ask about.

Anybody can print a wind rating on a brochure. Ask for the paperwork.
Some companies throw around big wind numbers with nothing behind them. We'll put the documents in your hands. The MagnaTrack hurricane system has been impact tested to ASTM E1886 and E1996 standards at Missile Level D, the same kind of testing storm shutters go through on the Gulf Coast.
If a company can't show you the test behind its rating, that tells you something.
